In the framework of the multi-disciplinary Project "Integrating prompt gamma range verification and relative biological effectiveness in multicriterial proton treatment planning", funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and carried out in a collaboration between the LMU Medical Physics Chair (PI: Prof. Dr. Katia Parodi), the Fraunhofer-Institut für Techno- und Wirtschaftsmathematik in Kaiserslautern (PI: Prof. Dr. Karl-Heinz Küfer) and the LMU University Hospital (PI: PD Dr. Dr. Christian Thieke), we invite applications for

1 Postdoc position (TVL-E13 100%, 24 months) at the LMU Chair of Medical Physics

The overarching goal of this project is to develop models and algorithms which incorporate prompt gamma range verification and biological considerations in terms of linear energy transfer (LET) and relative biological effectiveness (RBE) as new criteria in a research proton planning system based on multicriteria optimization (MCO).
