Launch of the European Programme DOSELIA: Artificial Intelligence in the Service of Paediatric Radiotherapy

28.03.2025

DOSELIA, a European research project coordinated by the French Institute Gustave Roussy, aims to improve paediatric radiotherapy by reducing the side effects of treatments into adulthood. It is part of an initiative to optimise the care of young cancer patients by integrating cutting-edge technologies to better assess and limit healthy tissue exposure to radiation. The main objective of this project is to develop a dosimetric modelling software based on artificial intelligence. This tool will enable precise evaluation of the doses received by the entire body in young patients undergoing radiotherapy treatment.

LMU (PI's: Prof. Katia Parodi and Priv. Doz. Georgios Dedes) is part of the project consortium that comprises 9 institutions from France, Denmark and Germany.

You find more detailed information on the project in the press release.
