Best poster presentation awarded to Pratik Dash at the Joint virtual Conference of the ÖGMP, DGMP and SGSMP

26.09.2021

The prize for the best poster presentation of the Joint virtual Conference of the ÖGMP, DGMP and SGSMP in Medical Physics was awarded to Pratik Dash for his work titled “Designing a detector array for ionoacoustics-based Bragg peak localization and dose reconstruction in a small animal during proton irradiation”.

Pratik Dash conducted his MSc thesis at LMU and is continuing his research toward a PhD degree in the framework of the SIRMIO project, under the supervision of Dr. Julie Lascaud and Prof. Dr. Katia Parodi. His work focuses on the development of ionoacoustics-based dose reconstruction co-registered with ultrasound images for small animals, aiming to monitor in vivo the proton dose delivered during small animal irradiation.
