FLUKA course hosted at LMU Department of Medical Physics
The 17th FLUKA course was successfully hosted by the Department of Medical Physics (LS Parodi) at the central building of the Faculty of Physics of LMU from the 9th to the 13th of November. The course was aimed at scientists working with Monte Carlo radiation transport to get a solid background on FLUKA.
During that week, 27 scientists from more than 10 countries, representing institutions from Europe and Asia, followed an intensive curriculum, comprised of theoretical lectures and hands-on exercises in FLUKA. The lectures were offered by members of the FLUKA collaboration (Dr. Anton Lechner, Dr. Stefan Roesler, Dr. Till Boehlen, Mr. Ricardo Manuel Dos Santos Augusto and Mr. Leonel Morejon).
The organization of the event was supported by Dr. George Dedes, Prof. Dr. Katia Parodi and Ms. Andrea Leinthaler from the Department of Medical Physics, with the valuable technical help of Ms. Susanna Maurer and her team.
