Poster Prize for the Master Thesis work of Katharina Niepel, successfully presented by Dr. Christopher Kurz at the 4D Treatment Planning Workshop held on December 4-5, 2017, in Vienna, Austria.

The poster "An ex-vivo porcine lung phantom study to assess the feasibility of 4D CBCT-based proton dose calculation", reporting the LMU Master Thesis work of Ms. Katharina Niepel (see picture, now PhD student at our Chair in the context of the DFG Research Training Group GRK2274) has been successfully presented by Dr. Kurz (second coauthor of the work) at the 4D Treatment Planning Workshop 2017 in Vienna, Austria, thereby being selected for the Poster Prize.

The work has been performed in the context of an international collaboration between members of our Chair (K. Niepel, K. Parodi, G. Landry), the Radiotherapy (C. Kurz [also affiliated to our Chair], F. Kamp, S. Neppl, J. Hofmaier, C. Thieke, C. Belka) and Radiology (D. Bondesson, J. Dinkel) Departments of the LMU Klinikum Grosshadern, as well as collaborators from Denmark (D. Hansen) and France (S. Rit).
