On 24.11.2016 Bianca Berndt has received the Christoph-Schmelzer-Award for her Master Thesis on "DECT based tissue segmentation as input to Monte Carlo simulations for proton treatment verification using PET imaging", which has been carried
out at our Chair under supervision of Prof. Parodi and Dr. Landry, in collaboration with the Departments of Radiology and Radiation Therapy of the LMU University Hospital and the Heidelberg Ion Beam Therapy Center.
