PhD position in new European Inititative RAPTORPlus
22.12.2025 – 08.02.2026
The MSCA Doctoral Network RAPTORplus ("Right-time Adaptive Particle Therapy Of canceR - Personalisation through anatomical plus biological adaptation") has started the recruiting process. One PhD position under the academic supervision of Prof. Dr. Katia Parodi is available at LMU on the topic of "Real-time online monitoring techniques for range and dose-guided adaptation in proton therapy". This PhD research project will particularly focus on the comparison of prompt gamma imaging and ionoacoustics, which are promising modalities for real-time monitoring of proton therapy that exploit the online detection of secondary emissions of energetic photons and (for pulsed beams) thermoacoustic waves, respectively.
More information on the research project at LMU, other positions open within the network and details related to the recruitment process and eligibility criteria can be found on the official website of the RAPTORPlus initiative (see https://raptor-consortium.com/recruitment).
The deadline for application is the end of 8th of February 2026 (CET).
