Postdoctoral position for X-ray imaging data processing and management

26.04.2021

Our team at the Faculty of Physics of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU Munich) offers

1 Postdoctoral position (TVL-E13 100%, 3 years) for X-ray imaging data processing and management

within the German DAPHNE4NFDI project (https://www.daphne4nfdi.de/english/57.php).

DAPHNE4NFDI is a project within the German National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI). The aim is to enable open access to research data from photon and neutron experiments, to integrate user-oriented solutions and to utilize an extensive scientific infrastructure. The project is a partnership between 7 research institutions and 11 universities from different scientific disciplines and other international partners – involving e.g. DESY, LMU and ESRF. Within DAPHNE4NFDI, our LMU research team focuses on aspects of data processing and data management for synchrotron X-ray experiments using multi-scale and multi-technique approaches for specific biomedical applications. Research data management and electronic capture of all relevant parameters during scientific experiments are pivotal challenges for the sustainability of research data at synchrotron facilities, where numerous scientific experiments are conducted annually in collaboration with external research groups in the area of condensed matter research.
