Spectroscopy of the negative Positronium ion at the FRM2

  • Fundamental physics with positronium at the FRM 2

    setup-psminus-130

Investigation of the most fundamental three-body system: the purely leptonic negative ion of positronium Ps-, consisting of a positron and two electrons. This system allows to study the binding three-body force via a measurement of the decay constant and (non-)resonant photoionization measurements. The latter will allow to generate the first energy-tunable pure ortho-positronium beam. more
